Lawrence has been a member of the Credit Union since 1971 and has been on the Mainstreet (and previously Goderich) Board of Directors for over 20 years. Lawrence has served as the Chair of the Goderich Board as well as serving on the Audit Committee and has met the Director's competency and training requirements. Lawrence is currently a member of Unifor Local 16-0 and has served 10 years on the Executive with 2 years as Vice President. In previous years he served as a Board Member with Huron County Fruit Growers. He is currently employed as a miner at Compass Minerals.

Lawrence acknowledges that his local community has treated him and his family very well and believes that being on the Board of Mainstreet is a way of giving back to his community.
